and singles / couples!

Dear Stoupa,

We had the best time in our lives here in this wonderful house. The best thing was probably the sea and looking out of the telescope at night. With my family, I really enjoyed this holiday in Stoupa and I really liked it when we went on a pedallo. It was so good when I had a turn at pedalling.

THANKS FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY

Love from H (aged 7) in late July

Thank you so much for a lovely stay in this most attractive and comfortable house – we’ve enjoyed some long walks in the mountains and some delicious afternoons eating piles of figs and feeling warmed through and through.

Look out for the tortoises in the long grass at the back of the house.

A big thank you from the K family (3 generations). The stay was like a “home from home” but with many pluses, including eating out totally (extreme laziness).

We hope we have the opportunity to return to this wonderful place in the not to distant future.

Lovely stay thank you great house and Stoupa is a good base. Try Delphia beach close and very tranquil. Caves at Pyrghos Dirou are worth a visit = I hour away.

N family mid August

Thank you we’ve thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in Stoupa. Kalo Riziko has been a wonderful place to stay – especially in August to escape the crowds. We’ve had tears from the children over their last day on Kalogria beach and tears from the adults over their last ouzo of the holiday!.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome (even if we haven’t met)

We are so sad to leave today. We have spent beautiful holidays in this perfect house: it miss nothing! We also listen to radio and Supertramp and Manu Ciao. It’s a great idea to let the radio.

Thank you. Merci pour cette jolie maison, bien soignée. Famille C August

We have had a lovely two weeks in Stoupa, though only one week in Kalo Riziko. We are glad it was our second week since we would not have wanted to move from here. It is a beautiful house and we spent as much time here as on the beach, sitting outside, playing Texas Hold ‘Em, and just relaxing. Wee beat the birds to a couple of juicy figs and gazed at the moon through the telescope. We all sat in the paddling pool with baby E and got splashed by her! Dolcina’s is wonderful for ice cream, though the supermarket Aloma chocolate with extra chocolate sauce was the big favourite.

Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Many thanks for opening your house to us – we have had a wonderful time in fantastic surroundings. Your house is beautiful and comfortable. It is a pleasure to enjoy and relax in – we drank from the stars every night (and red wine too) – we walked, talked and lounged – swam and drank – ate and meandered – played games and laughed. We found friendship and warmth (heat really!) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I felt that had just entered a paradise. Stoupa was bathed in sunlight as I strolled across the sandy beach, the clear water gently lapping at my feet. It was the delicious food and the warm hospitality of the locals that truly made me appreciate this stay. You can also see the sunset on the sea from the house, as well as the stars which are much clearer out here.                                                           S in late October

One week is not enough! We want more!

Your house and garden are wonderful. It is so nice to be able to walk into the village late in the evening, eat a lot (drink quite a lot too) and walk back. I felt very much at home – especially as a cockerel up the road supplied familiar sound bites.

We went to Mystras and walked all the way to the top. Also recommended is the a trip to Cape Tenaro , which includes the amazing sight of Vathia. The walk to the lighthouse was spectacular. Lots of wild flowers too.

We swam from Kalogria Beach which was not busy at this time of year. The cold springs added an element of frisson.

So many things to be done yet. A walk along the coast planned for today, but alas a little Greek rain leaving us no option than to play some games and relax.
